CHÂTEAU HAUT-BRION - LEHM TON ERDE


 

The Château Haut-Brion winery is renovating its production facility and constructing a new building to replace the old one, which will be used for the new wine production and also serve as a museum and visitor centre. The building is being constructed from the same material from which the wine produces its exquisite flavour.
The excavation is being prepared for the production of the rammed earth elements. LehmTonErde installed a mobile production facility including the Roberta II machine, which produces the rammed earth elements. The basement, which is over 6 metres high, is enclosed by rammed earth walls, which help to regulate the optimum climate. The exterior walls above ground are adapted to local weather conditions with erosion-breaking layers. The new building will open its doors to the public in spring 2026.
